First Half: Morocco Strikes First, Brazil Hit Back
The referee blew the whistle, and Brazil vs Morocco was officially underway. The opening minutes were lively with both teams trading shots and testing each other’s defensive lines.
As early as the 6th minute, Brahim Diaz tested Brazil’s backline with a shot that was smartly blocked. Then Khannouss tried his luck at the 7th minute — Brazil dealt with it again.
But Morocco kept coming.
21′ — GOAL! Ismael Saibari (Morocco)
The breakthrough came when Saibari, fed a sublime pass by Brahim Diaz, calmly chipped Brazil goalkeeper Alisson Becker to put Morocco ahead 0-1. It was audacious. It was clinical. It was a statement goal.
Brazil responded immediately.
32′ — GOAL! Vinicius Junior (Brazil)
The Real Madrid star leveled things up with a banger goal assisted by Bruno Guimarães, bringing it back to 1-1. The crowd erupted. The game was on.
The half ended with a couple of bookings — Casemiro picked up a yellow card in the 37th minute, and Ibanez followed in the 43rd — adding even more tension heading into the break.
Half-time: Brazil 1 – 1 Morocco
Second Half: Substitutes, Drama & a Marathon Finish
Brazil came out in the second half looking for a winner. The manager made three key changes:
- Casemiro ➡ Fabinho (46′)
- Lucas Paquetá ➡ Matheus Cunha (61′)
- Igor Thiago ➡ Luiz Henrique (61′)
Morocco stood firm. Their defensive shape was disciplined and compact, frustrating Brazil’s attacking moves at every turn.
At the 72nd minute, Saibari ran offside — a rare miscalculation in an otherwise excellent performance.
Then came the chaos around the 86th minute: Morocco goalkeeper Bono went down injured, temporarily leaving the pitch, before eventually returning to take his position. It added more drama to an already electric atmosphere.
Over 10 minutes of added time were signaled, and Brazil pushed hard.
- 90’+3: Endrick’s shot was brilliantly cleared by Morocco.
- Late on: A long-range effort from Neil El Aynaoui was saved smartly by Alisson, who stood tall to deny Morocco a late winner.
Full-time: Brazil 1 – 1 Morocco
